AIMLab. Strategic Partnerships
AIMLab. x Hillel Yaffe
Strategic Collaboration in Ophtalmology
The Technion AIMLab has partnered with Hillel Yaffe Medical Center to co-found an in-hospital lab dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence in ophthalmology. Embedded within the hospital, the AEye Lab focuses on developing AI tools that enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline clinical workflows, and improve patient outcomes. This partnership gives our researchers direct access to clinical facilities and patient populations for real-world deployment and evaluation of new models and solutions.

AIMLab. x SleepAI
Lab spin-out in AI and sleep medicine
SleepAI is a spin-out from the AIMLab. which tackles a major global health challenge: more than one billion adults are affected by sleep apnea, yet most remain undiagnosed due to limited access and the burden of traditional testing. SleepAI is a software platform that leverages data from widely available oximetry-based devices, such as pulse oximeters and photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors, to detect and monitor obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with high accuracy. By enabling multi-night, home-based monitoring with wearable devices, it offers a scalable and cost-effective alternative to overnight polysomnography in specialized sleep labs. The spin-out is hosted at the eHV incubator in Modi’in Illit and led by CEO and co-founder Shirel Attia, an AIMLab graduate.
